Create Your Own

Create Your Own has a colour called Orchard that I absolutely adore! I'ts from the Chubby Lips range and it is a thick pencil  crayon lipstick that you draw on to your lips. Not only is it a super Summer colour but it stays on for hours and hours. It is such an awesome lipstick to take with to a festival because you can sip on your drink and not worry whether your lipstick is smudged or not, you can kiss that sexy boy on the dance floor and know that your lipstick will still be on your lips and not all over his. The CYO Chubby Lips comes in a range of colours, but the Orchard, which is a shocking pink is by far my must have item. It can be bought at a Foschini for under 100 bucks!

The reasons it's perfect for your next festival:
  • The colour is so trendy for Summer 2013 and will go so well for outdoor events.
  • It is reasonably priced and fits into  my #StudentBudget
  • The crayon style makes it easy to apply,so when you are stomping on the dance floor and you need a bit of colour, I gaurantee you it won't smudge.
  • The no smudge effect makes it really longlasting so you can drink away.
  • I am not  a fan of heavy make up at festivals, but throw on some lipstick and  aheadband and you will be unforgettable.

My Cray Cray Obsession with Headbands

Headbands and I are like Bubbles chocolate and the Sunday Mnet movie. They can be separated, but it is quite difficult. I must own about 100 different types of headbands, from elastic ones, beaded ones, flower child ones, crystal (lets go to a  wedding) ones, gym ones and DIY ones that I have made from home.
Before a concert I usually like to make my own one. The reason being is that I love the uniqueness of creating your very own headband. The downside of this is that your headband becomes a target on the dancefloor, and you spend more time holding your flower headband to your head than actually dancing. Headbands are super trendy right now. From Khloe Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens and Pixie Lott all sporting their own DIY style headbands.

Yesterday I wrote an article on Cosmopolitans website about how to make a  DIY headband. It includes steps and pictures on how to create your very own headband.
Synergy, Rezonance and Ultra are all approaching, why not learn how to make your own headband?

Cosmopolitan and JimmiJagga Shimmy Beach Party

On Friday the 8th of November 2013 Shimmy Beach Club was the host to a hot Summer party, the party was by Cosmopolitan Magazine SA and JimmiJagga and the theme was SUMMER.as by Cosmopolitan Magazine SA and JimmiJagga and the theme was SUMMER.
The club was filled with socialites, bloggers, and party goers that were all ready to have an absolutely amazing time. On arriving at Shimmy Beach Club we received a bag filled with goodies, we then had a few finger bites and sipped on a lemon JimmiJagga. The stage was transformed into a beach party with sand, beach balls and even its very own ice cream bar where you could help yourself to the most incredible flavoured ice cream and nibble on it while jamming to local artists, Pascal and Pearce.

For the ladies there was another treat; manicures on the house! Revlon had a mani station where you could go have your nails and make up done. This was a definite hot spot and we all walked away with happier, prettier nails!
